Professional Drawing Board

Use a responsive browser drawing studio with six brushes, fourteen creative web fonts, selectable objects, bendable arrows, independent layers, image export, and video recording.

A serious drawing studio that runs entirely in your browser

Professional Drawing Board is designed for people who want more than a single novelty brush. It opens as a complete digital-art workspace with a responsive Screen Fill canvas, a focused tool rail, a detailed inspector, a layer stack, and a compact production toolbar. Screen Fill is selected by default and follows the available workspace in either portrait or landscape orientation, which gives a phone user a tall drawing surface instead of forcing a wide document. You can sketch with a mouse, draw with a finger, or use a pressure-sensitive pen. Pointer pressure is used by the ink brush to vary the line naturally, while adjustable smoothing helps an ordinary mouse produce cleaner curves.

The color section combines a full color picker, editable hexadecimal values, and a practical palette of common colors. Thickness ranges from a fine one-pixel mark to a broad 160-pixel stroke, and opacity can be lowered for subtle shading or transparent buildup. The expanded typography collection adds fourteen distinctive choices beyond the basic system fonts: Pacifico, Lobster, Dancing Script, Great Vibes, Caveat, Permanent Marker, Bangers, Bebas Neue, Fredoka, Cinzel, Playfair Display, Abril Fatface, Monoton, and Creepster. These cover brush lettering, calligraphy, handwriting, comic captions, posters, elegant editorial work, neon titles, and playful display art.

Six brushes for sketching, inking, coloring, and texture

The Smooth Round brush is the dependable everyday option for illustration and clean freehand work. Graphite Pencil creates a narrower, softer mark for construction lines and rough sketches. Pressure Ink changes its width according to stylus pressure and works well for outlines, lettering, and expressive line art. Marker produces a broad translucent pass that can build darker color where strokes overlap. Airbrush scatters controlled particles for soft shadows, atmospheric color, and gradual transitions. Watercolor layers several transparent passes to create a loose wet-media edge without pretending to be a full physical-paint simulation.

Brush smoothing can be adjusted independently from size and opacity. A low setting follows every small movement and feels immediate; a higher setting steadies the path for polished curves. The eraser respects the selected thickness and removes marks from the active layer rather than flattening the whole document. This is important when highlights, outlines, imported references, and background color are separated into different layers.

Shapes, arrows, text, symmetry, and precise construction

Freehand drawing is only one part of the board. One Shapes button opens a visual library containing lines, bendable arrows, rectangles, rounded rectangles, ellipses, triangles, diamonds, pentagons, hexagons, stars, hearts, and speech bubbles. Hold Shift while dragging to constrain proportions or line angles. Closed shapes can remain outlined or receive a translucent fill. Every new shape becomes selected after it is drawn. Drag the object to move it, or drag the purple rotation handle freely around it. A selected arrow displays a yellow midpoint that stays attached to the shaft while bending it, plus a cyan starting-point handle for changing the arrow’s length and direction.

The Text tool opens a real text-entry field at the tapped canvas position, so typing works with a hardware keyboard or the mobile on-screen keyboard. Press Enter or click anywhere outside the text box to place the written text; that outside click commits the current words instead of opening a second empty editor. Then use Select to move or rotate the finished text. While text is selected, the inspector reflects its current font, size, weight, color, opacity, glow, and symmetry. Drag any white corner handle to proportionally resize it. Delete or Backspace removes any selected text, shape, stroke, arrow, or imported image as an undoable action.

Real layers, blend modes, and non-destructive history

The layer panel supports up to ten genuinely independent layers. Each layer owns its own command list and backing canvas, and the final picture is composited from bottom to top. This lets a background sit underneath a sketch, color remain separate from outlines, and text stay above an imported reference. Add a blank layer, duplicate one, change stacking order, hide it, rename it with a double-click, reduce opacity, or use Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Darken, Lighten, and Color Dodge. Layer visibility, order, deletion, clearing, opacity, and blend changes all affect the finished canvas, while stale object selections are cleared when their layer is hidden or removed.

Undo and Redo preserve drawing commands and document changes without saving an enormous raw copy of the canvas after every pointer event. The history is intentionally capped to keep browser memory predictable during long sessions. Individual freehand strokes also have a point limit, and the layer count is bounded. Those safeguards let the board provide professional editing behavior without allowing an accidental endless stroke or hundreds of hidden canvases to exhaust the page.

High-resolution image export and drawing video recording

Canvas presets include responsive Screen Fill, landscape, widescreen, square, social portrait, large portrait, A4 portrait, mobile Story, and 2048-pixel square formats. Screen Fill responds to horizontal and vertical workspace changes while a controlled pixel budget keeps its memory use predictable. Resizing scales existing artwork instead of simply cropping it. The background can be any color or fully transparent. Export uses the document’s real pixel dimensions, not a screenshot of the editor, and supports PNG, JPEG, and WebP on an opaque background. When transparency is enabled, incompatible formats disappear and PNG remains as the only download option, preventing an accidental solid background.

The Record control captures only the artwork canvas at 30 frames per second, leaving toolbars, panels, cursors, and the surrounding webpage out of the video. Draw, erase, add shapes, switch layers, or import imagery while recording, then press Stop to download a WebM or MP4 process video, depending on browser support. Recording automatically stops after two minutes to control file size and memory use. This makes it easy to save a short time-lapse-like demonstration, show how a diagram was assembled, or share the development of a sketch without installing screen-recording software.
